Honest question, are there any well known start-ups that have come out of the Start-Up Chile program?

The two more successful ones I'm aware of are cruisewise and babelverse so far.

But really, the program isn't focused on the success of the start-ups, it's about start-ups affecting the Chilean ecosystem, and that is happening.

I'm interested to hear how the Chilean ecosystem has changed as a result. Since I don't live in Chile, I don't have much visibility into that. Can you share your experience?

It's a relatively new program - shouldn't it take 6-8 years on average to see results?

I'd expect to see the first signs of results in a couple years. For example, how many companies from the first batch are still around?

not many, I'm afraid - but a few of them are making good progress: Babelverse, WeHostels, Taggify and SaferTaxi

(most of them not due to Startup Chile anyway, but still...)

My company participated in the pilot round. Last I heard from Nate (Entrustet and Welcu), 23% of our cohort were profitable and bootstrapping, 32% had taken further investment, and only 14% had failed.

23% isn't too shabby.
