This is the first article I found about Rux: https://dev.to/natuworkguy/rux-a-modern-systems-programming-...

This is another one: https://bestassignmentgrade.com/blog/rux-programming-languag...

Is this a passion project? If so, nicely done! If it’s meant to compete with other systems languages, is there a page or something that describes “why rux”?

I just found it and like it, it's not my project. I discovered it from this YouTube video https://youtu.be/qy4iPvFFcV8?si=c7_OL4dio0gsq24w.

It seems the authors want a systems programming language with simple, clear, modern and explicit syntax, which doesn't rely on LLVM.

This newly published blog post gives an introduction to the language and its current state, and basically says "why Rux": https://rux-lang.dev/blog/language-without-llvm
