Love this concept but living in Arizona it's always been the same image every time I check :/ I might just be checking at bad times but would be lovely if it could be fine-tuned to be a bit more relative to the location. Incredible idea though, so simple but so much lovelier than your standard weather UI

Which one? San Francisco right now is "Untitled Brown and Gray"...

I read that as "Entitled Brown and Gray" and chuckled.

it is both the title and description.

source: i saw the rothko exhibit in florence earlier this month.

I mean, you live in Arizona, it's probably going to be the same every day until you hit monsoon season.

Seems to have ingested some non-paintings as well :) https://rothko.joonas.wtf/images/rothko-chapel-1967.jpg

Cool project, would make a good variable display in the home maybe; weather prediction but aesthetic

I set it as my screensaver on OSX, but still figuring out how to get it to show somewhere other than NYC :/

This is highly relevant to my interests

Absolutely love this. As a person that only knows a tiny bit more about art than the average person, I’ve always loved Rothko. It might be the only form of abstract/modern art I’ve loved.

The only other thing I love is chiaroscuro so I think I’m going to try and make something similar for that.

Expected a generator.

Yes, me too.

I love these sort of projects. Well done!

I love this. Thank you for making it.

Really cool! I love personal software projects that are made as art.

ooh now I want a Josef Albers Homage to the square version https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homage_to_the_Square
