Once you hit about a 20-point IQ gap, communication starts to break down

No, not in general. Explaining stuff is a skill, and if you have it, the IQ gap is not a problem. And if you don't have it, then you'll have problems explaining to someone even with the same IQ but in the different industry.

If you had a conversation, and both parties went away frustrated, and you think it's because their IQ it too low.. think again. Surely as a person with high IQ you can find the right level of explanation?

There are plenty of examples: professors explaining to students, researchers talking to journalists, and even parents teaching their children.

This is such a bad take it’s crazy. Assuming a higher IQ person has better long horizon thinking and levels of abstraction seems blatantly false.

Recent example is SBF (and crypto buddies) who probably had a high IQ but had pretty short term thinking I would say.

Still trying to use IQ as a measure of intelligence is also pretty wild. Plenty of things high IQ people can’t do (like relate to others as evidenced by the post).

(Note: I don’t know my IQ so this might just be low IQ cope)

Just another anecdote to support author point of view, without any evidence. Also, looks like “ai” generated.
