What Do Unions Do?

Man, this guy did back flips over fireworks just to say he doesn't like unions. Great, grand, all that work just to find yourself at a common position of little value.

What would be more interesting is a thought on modern alternatives. Something that ensures employees retain some iota of power in the economy.

What is it? What would it look like?

This is the dumbest, pro-corporate, obviously anti-union propaganda I ever read.

While unionization and solidarity aren't a silver bullet for worker rights and fair pay, what workers must do is form more employee-owned co-ops to disentangle themselves from dependency upon corporations that don't value them and will throw them away at any moment.
