Hilarious piece on "20 years of Badgers" ft interview and historical footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPOISnUd7WE

Jonti Picking (aka MrWeebl) did a more in-depth interview last year as well: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-sixteenth-minute-of-fame...

So they posted Badgers assuming that means they've contacted the creator, so why does it say they still need to contact them to get the original files? Weird

Anyways, here's the original in the original format (well, emulated with Ruffle): flash animation.

Badger Badger Badger originally is a flash animation. To properly archive this, both the flash animation and a machine definition which can run that animation (eg: having a browser with flash plugin) should be stored, not just a video file.

The original SWF file can be played by Ruffle (https://ruffle.rs/). Depending on your criteria for preservation a simple web page may be sufficient.

Kinda sad if you think about it.

Why? Badger Badger Badger was massively influential on early internet video, it deserves to be preserved.

If you ask any British person in my generation, "Badger badger badger badger?" they'll probably join in. I don't think you appreciate how viral and beloved it is.

There's even a version with Brians May and Blessed.

I appreciate it, because I was born in 1989 (in Canada no less!). I just never liked it. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

In what way?

I remember when this thing came out and all the unfunny people liked it lol
