"Call A Republican" San Francisco public phone lets you call a Texas Republican

Why do they need this? A quarter of California is Republican, isn't it?

Last I looked, it was something like 60% of CA is Republican. However, places like SF it's more like 15-20%.

Great, another opportunity for Democrats to listen even harder to Republicans. Meanwhile, nobody in Texas is calling Democrats to listen to them.

It does bring up the great unifier of American politics: everybody blames Democrats for failing to accede to Republican desires.

Meantime, Robert Frost remains correct: A liberal is a man too broadminded to take his own side in a quarrel.
