Facepunch launches s&box, the highly anticipated successor to Garry's Mod

The game itself is open source (https://github.com/Facepunch/sbox-public) and been in development for quite some time, but finally "launched" ~1 week ago. You can even see their finances from the launch :) https://sbox.game/metrics/finance

Wow, I love that realtime finance dashboard. It's a bold move to share that all publicly.

What an awful name, "s&box", it reads like a text rendering error.

I think it's supposed to be pronounced "Sandbox", but they realized that the word Sandbox would be unsearchable.

Oh man, the amount of hours I've spent playing the game. Such joy

Damn, less than 50% rating on Steam.
