Looks great! I did something similar to this back in 2014. It surprisingly still runs: https://labratrevenge.com/cfb-recruiting/

Awesome! I really like the visualization.

Very neat!

I tried to drag left to get to Asia / Oceania, and got stuck on the International Date Line. Would be neater if it wrapped around, and didn't put Samoa and Australia on the opposite ends of the Earth. :)

Good callout. I'll change this tomorrow! Thanks for the feedback.

This is really cool. I took a couple guesses as to which team had the most states represented (Colorado, Notre Dame, USC, K State) but it was too close to call.

So easy to use. Bravo.

Thanks! Very fun to see the breakdown by state. I'll be updating for 2026 rosters once the dust settles going into fall camp. Will be interesting to see how it changes with the transfer portal comings and goings.

It seems like college towns have a lot of players even if they are small, what's the reason for that?

Sometimes the football culture is big in those specific places. Also generational players (kids of coaches/players) stick around the area. Walk-ons, as well.

(vanilla JS + Vite + MapLibre, data source = CFBD, audited 15K records to find ~250 misplaced ones

Nice job!

Thank you! Anything you particularly liked about it? Any additional feature you'd like to see? No pressure.
