After years of doing mental math for fun, the numbers for some operations simply materialize in my mind

Presumably the brain is some kind of neural net and it has tuned its predictions.

People think it's magic but it's just practice

current LLM progress suggests theres probably several operating in parallel and theres some executive harness that coordinates attention and processing.

Also, the optical nerves are in the hind brain and likely process information before awareness.
