Ask HN: What's your favourite business oriented movie?

Margin Call.

It's about a company that makes sausage that discovers their meat supply is full of sawdust and rat feces. They decide to sell off all their inventory, and crash the market, before their competitors do.

Looking at other people's response made me think of Lord Of War and War Dogs, both about (real life) accounts of people in the business of selling arms.

Depends on what you mean by "business," I suppose, but There Will Be Blood is my favorite, about the "business" of exploiting oil in southern CA though it's much more fictionalized than your other choices :)

In no particular order…

Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999)

Boiler Room (2000)

Trading Places (1983)

Office Space (1999)

Thank You for Smoking (2005)
