Hire: Equity for talented developer

Hello,

I'm looking to find an equity partner to help develop an exciting idea for a site. It will be all about community participation with the community choosing and ranking the best ideas/users.

We want a partner with serious enterprise, initiative, creativity and coding skills. I don't know much about hacking but don't think it's a simple job, at least not to do it right. We'll talk in detail about features but community participation, voting and live community activity updates to keep it fresh are a given.

The aim of this project is to help start ups with great ideas, like a lot of the guys on here, to get in front of serious VCs.

I'm in Corporate Finance and have the relationship with VCs, the other partner is a Strategy Consultant at a big firm and now we need a skilled hacker. I think we have the pedigree to make this happen!

Sorry if this is a bad job spec, I'm no expert in hacking.

Please post your email address here, or at least put it in your profile, so people can contact you privately instead of posting their own email addresses. I'm more than qualified, my email is in my profile (just click on my name) and I might be interested in working with you on a reciprocal basis if you're willing to consider such an arrangement.

Please email me because this forum doesn't alert me via email to new posts, so I seldom visit a thread more than once. Thanks.

We're based in London, there's a well documented funding gap in Europe. No Y-Combinator, etc. The money exists we just want to create a mechanism to get the best ideas to the money.

This idea fills a gap in the US too, it's a different approach to helping people get start up funding.

I'm not sure about the location thing. I can see how it would be really helpful to be able to sit down together, is it essential in the experience of you guys?

Here's hoping News.YC doesn't become "Job board for suits looking for hackers"...

Hi this is rather vague , but I'm intrigued to find out more. 15+ years experience in IT, creative, founded & ran company in gaming sector for several years etc. etc. Get in touch at eprijer@gmail.com

Where are you located? Do you need a local hacker?
