YeetCode – I built a platform for coding duels with friends

Hey HN! I’m a student at Stony Brook and built YeetCode with a friend to make coding interview prep more engaging.

We noticed that practicing LeetCode alone gets boring and inconsistent, so we wanted to add a competitive and social layer.

The core feature is real-time duels — two people solve the same problem and race to finish first. We also added groups and leaderboards to keep people accountable.

Tech stack: FastAPI, React, SQLite3.

Would love feedback on:

Whether this actually makes you practice more What features you’d want in something like this Any UX or flow issues you notice

Happy to answer any questions!

Helped me get an internship. GO yeetcode!!!
