I always wanted https://untap.in/ (yeah, I built it) to feel like this... free-form, chill, a bit messy. Just moving cards around, making mistakes, fixing them together, like a real board game night.

But after 10 years of user feedback, it ended up somewhere else.

Still nice seeing someone else land closer to that original idea. Well done.

Might check out the site I built at cardtavern.com.

Interesting, this one did pop up on my radar a while back, i always keep my pulse on the playtester space :) Although cardtavern one strays away more from the free form play that simulates a kitchen table game of magic, piles and structured zones ect, much like untap.in has (as i mentioned, users want fast structured play and QOL mechanics built in). The ops vision seems to be its a table with some hide/reveal and shuffle mechanics, do what you want after that. Which i appreciate, allows a bit of fun.

How do I see the table? Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I expected drag and drop from my hand at the bottom to the empty space at the top as the table, like TappedOut.net but it seems I have to tap the card, then tap Play, then all I see is a message saying "# Cards on table" but not visible anywhere.

From the about page: https://mtg.jessitron.honeydemo.io/about

You need:

A friend (or two or three) to play with

A shared voice chat, like Discord

A shared online white board, like Mural, which serves as the table

Decks defined in Archidekt (or use the preconstructed decks we've downloaded)

This app for each of you to manage your library and hand

Each of you can choose a deck in this app, then shuffle up. Draw cards to your hand, then click on them to do more. When you play a card in MTG Deck Shuffler, it gets copied to your clipboard. Then paste it into Mural!

Yeah I was hoping for a multiplayer goldfish-style experience, maybe something like tabletop simulator. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but this doesn't seem to be any better than the built in archidekt/moxfield tools

at the risk of being the shill but i think its helpful and what you are looking for, https://untap.in/ does this, solo play both mirror play your deck AND deck vs deck where you play 2 decks as one player, alternating turns.

I was thinking something 2- or 4-player, but that's cool.

Looks neat, kind of an early stage of what you're building? I see a lot of room for features to make goldfishing do-able.

how is this better than edhplay.com?

Does it have to be? I think the OP just wanted to share something they made

try it out and let us know!

very cool!! please support moxfield integration!

I don't quite understand how to use this, but if people are looking for a way to play magic digitally I might recommend the site I built at cardtavern.com.

You’ve now linked to your own thing three times in three comments in three minutes.

That’s too much.
