It's going to be great when people realize these are an avenue for protest that can't be whitewashed by "AI" the way online forums can. I wouldn't be surprised if cash usage goes up.

Can’t remember the last time I used cash, let alone a dollar bill. I assume people will be using them to do cocaine or throwing at strippers.

I use cash for my routine purchases. I wonder how annoyed the bank will be with me when I go in to swap these bills for ones that he hasn't defiled?

Well aren’t you just a little holier than thou cutie patootie?

Makes sense.

It's always worth less than its face value.
  It folds.
It has a Masonic sign on the back
claiming a New World Order, and
    with a panopticon eye.

I give it a year before he starts trying to rename months after himself: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2008/apr/25/1

Seriously, how is anyone, even the people who voted him, watching this nonsense and going “oh, yeah, that’s perfectly normal and not at all senile”?

I mean, look at this, they’re giving him fake awards now: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/mar/26/trump-mike-j...

> Last month, Trump was given the “Undisputed Champion of Beautiful, Clean Coal” award by a number of mining executives at the White House. In December, Trump was given the Fifa peace prize, an award that was made up and presented to him for promoting “peace and unity” around the world.

If this was the script for a political satire it’d be rejected for being too silly.

His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Donald Doctor President Trump, VC, DSO, MC, CBE, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the American Empire in America in General and Washington in Particular

This is literally exactly what happened in Rome to Julius Caesar. It's not that silly.

why?

“There is no more powerful way to recognize the historic achievements of our great country and President Donald J. Trump than U.S. dollar bills bearing his name, and it is only appropriate that this historic currency be issued at the semiquincentennial,”

It's fascist propaganda, aggrandizing the Great Leader. Don't worry about it, though. American dollars won't be good for anything more than burning before long.

Same reason as renaming the Kennedy Center. Narcissism.

Look, if it’s good enough for North Korea…
