Monado became the foundation for OpenXR runtimes

> Every bug fix and contribution our customers make to Monado flows back to the community, benefiting everyone from indie developers to global tech giants.

literally two sentences below them talking about permissive licensing lol

> Today, that vision isn't just proven: it's powering the industry's most significant SDKs.

> This shift isn't about "using Open Source" — it's a strategic choice for technical robustness.

OK Claude.

> The goal was simple: bring the OpenGL model to XR.

The OpenGL model? The OpenGL model is having a specification that everyone implements, not a single foundational implementation??

> Monado is more than a runtime; it's a modular construction kit for building OpenXR stacks.

I'm done reading this.

This is unusually crap quality for a Collabora article.

VDXR beats out pretty much any other OpenXR runtime in performance and is most certainly not using Monado.
