The interesting question is whether AP data actually makes Kalshi more efficient or just faster. If all the big market makers are already pulling from the same data sources (AP, official counts), the only thing this changes is who gets the update first. And on low-liquidity election contracts, that millisecond advantage could let one participant sweep the entire book before anyone else reacts.
If there is a mismatch between what AP -> Kalshi say, and what the channels say, and what the electoral count says, Which side of this do you think the betting will be on?
Disgusting. What a blow to the credibility of AP partnering with these degenerates.
