CIA releases new video in bid to lure Chinese military officers to spy for US

I found this YouTube video from this news article: https://www.ft.com/content/d30d656e-2975-4940-8708-da4dc43cd...

Edit: The YouTube video was released on 2026-01-15 and already has 63.7 million views. Yikes. Who is watching this video? Did they find a way to make it go viral on Chinese social media?

The newest one on the CIA channel on YouTube is showing 1920 views right now. It was posted 3 hours ago.

My first thought is they bought fake views for it to make it seem more widely viewed than it is.

Simple look at views to comments ratio confirms.

This is a good point. <Tin foil hat activated> Maybe CIA paid bot farm to boost views in the hope it will go viral for Chinese speaking users!

I desperately hope the PLA starts its own Youtube channel in response. :-)
