NASA Will Let Its Astronauts Bring iPhones to the Moon

I assume they’ll be in Airplane mode?

iOS 27 will add Shuttle Mode

I love NASA, always have, but we all know that SLS is never actually going to the moon, right? NASA will get there, but SLS is just a fragile pork project that's launched once in 3 years. This isn't a serious attempt to go anywhere.

Should be an interesting test of camera performance!

Should be an interesting test of battery performance.

Either there will need to be a charger on board, or very strict usage so the phone isn't draining the battery trying to connect to a cell, wifi, bluetooth etc when turned on.

I'm sure there'll be a usb cable on board somewhere. At the iss they have laptops too.

This isn't Apollo with a 2048 byte RAM ferrite core onboard computer :)

How sweet. Can they come with their Tesla™ ? And bring food from McDonalds™ or BurgerKing™ ? /s

Is NASA now an advertising company ?
