Show HN: Send a letter for $1.55
mappymail.com
Why would you send a letter in today's age? A few use cases:
- You can be completely anonymous. ex: You have a neighbor who puts trash on the curb 2 weeks early... they need to know
- You might have to and its a PITA if it's something you otherwise never do because you need paper, stamp, printer, ink, envelope, mailbox. ex: legal, banking, government, etc.
- Lodge a complaint or make a request. This one has been fun for me. I've written Michael Dell asking him to support his alma mater and provide additional NIL money for the Texas Longhorns. I've also written a random developer at Apple stating how horrific iOS 26 has been. Make your voice heard!
https://mappymail.com is meant to be simple, cheap, and as private as you'd like.
- Simple: Start typing an address or just drop a pin.
- Cheap: You can get a single page letter out for $1.55.
- Private: You don't need to have an account, provide a return address, sender name, or even give an email if you don't want to. Once your letter is sent, we remove the blob from our server.
