This made me click on several HN posts I totally wouldn't have otherwise. I gotta say, it nails the titles! Great work!

This is one of the things I love about these kind of posts. Some other people have said this before: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46328667

I actually feel it's really sweet and touching that that's an impact, but also think that it's a really important thing. Also, yep GP3 is great at jokes!

prompt: in the vein of our classic Gemiini Pro 3 hallucinates the HN front page 10 years from now, or HN front page right now, but the titles are honest. Please scrape the HN front page RIGHT NOW and make honest titles. Here's a preview: <... snip ... >

This is actually a 2-shot. I asked Gemini Pro 3 to turn it up to 11. If you want the less savage, more anodyne 1st-version...I posted that too.

I thought the first cut titles were quite funny too: https://dosaygo-studio.github.io/hn-front-page-2035/news-hon...

Truly savage. Well done. Lots of laughs. Way funnier than my contribution, which is probably why mine hasn't picked up any traction yet. Would be interesting to read a brief once your Story hits 50+ comments.

OK! I will write one up when we get a bit higher. edit: I don't think we will be going higher. The mods and some in the community are tired of this kind of thing.

Brilliant snark and a fantastic, wildly creative use of new tech. It’s like you’ve been brought forward from our past, from back when tech was more optimistic and less cynical, when we were more innocent..

As they say.. this is a great hack!

Chapeau!

Thank you, what a lovely thing to say!

I keep the memory of the early Internet, the late 80s and 90s, when we were more optimistic, less cynical, and more innocent, as an inspiring fire in my heart

That you see it blaze up here and can say so clearly? I’m so happy

Thanks for giving me some words to remember and connect with clarity

Great work, this is funny!

I saw a way too soon joke in this vein of savage humor earlier today...

"What do you think of the work ICE is doing in Minnesota?" Pretti Good.

Love the fact that the option to hate read more directs you to HN.

This is hilarious.

I am so happy to know you guys are enjoying it

These are actually pretty funny.

An internet posts their own, LLM-generated and therefore far less funny, take on n-gate.com, long after n-gate is dead. Hackernews waxes nostalgic about a site deemed not to promote the kind of discussion they want to see when it was still alive.

As a regular poster for 14 years this is really great and nails the vibe.

The “fights” for threads is chefkiss

Also “Postgres cult celebrates death of another vector database” was so spot on

I looked for the meta post name but looks like it hasn’t updated yet.

I’ll be interested to see if there’s a recursion that turns into the singularity

Thank you, bud! If I can convince the mods to let it rise naturally, I will do an update where it will skewer itself on the front page.

edit: I failed! The mods and some in the community are tired of this kind of thing.

LOVE THIS!

Thanks :) The mods don't want it anymore tho. I guess the bottom line is the mods of HN don't want HN mocked.

> Skåpa, a parametric 3D printing app like an IKEA manual

> Show HN: Hybrid Markdown Editing

> Palantir Defends Work with ICE to Staff Following Killing of Alex Pretti

JK, those are real posts

Love it, all that’s missing is n-gate style summaries of the articles and comments.

N-gate was so good. http://n-gate.com/hackernews/

It would be amazing to refine / fine tune a model on n-gate somehow.

It is good, but it's a very specific voice and take. AI has more range. (And, more stamina!)

Still, did this guy die/get executed because he was speaking the truth? A modern day Giordano Bruno?

Still, the number of people who referenced N-gate in these posts seems flattering.

These HN spoofs are quickly becoming the lowest of form of content slop that people know will get a ton of karma.

This has to be at least the fifth or sixth in a month or two?

C'mon keepamovin. I know you know how easy it is for this type of stuff to get karma.

> This has to be at least the fifth or sixth in a month or two?

The tenth.

I did not know these were all from the same person...

I could care less about the karma, tho, bud. I'm doin it because it feels good and I like bringin the joy to people:

you have some nice submissions but you love doing karaoke of this particular type of post

No, you do not understand.

This whinge reads like it was written by AI. Show me your prompt ;)

(But I can already guess what it is!)
