Ask HN: Auckland mentors?

I'm a university student at Auckland University of Technology. I've been struggling with my studies for a long while and trying my hand at web development at the same time. Lately I've been evaluating my skills. Being on Hacker News for all this time, I've seen so many interesting projects and its left me feeling very insecure about my skills and my future career.

Suffering from anxiety and depression makes it difficult for me to attend meetups though I have tried. IRC channels have been helpful but they lack that personal touch you can only get from sitting across from another person.

I'm looking for a mentor in Auckland. I don't ask for much. Just some advice on what I'm doing wrong or what I could be doing right. At the moment my main focus is web development. Despite all the attention given to apps I still see the potential of the web. If there's anyone in the Auckland area skilled in web development willing to meet me and give me some advice, I'd love to hear from you.
