NorCal Fitness company allegedly sold cake batter as $75 per bag protein powder

The reddit thread where the scam was uncovered: https://old.reddit.com/user/Sufficient_Letter175/comments/1j...

Edit- funny the brand's instagram essentially markets it as cake batter with the title on their insta page being, "We have amazing protein that you can make into shakes or bake into muffins, pancakes, or whatever you can dream up!!" https://www.instagram.com/holmesnutritionprotein/?hl=en

The reason, as always, is lack of FDA testing (not sure why they don’t test supplements), and the answer, as always, is more regulations. Although I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld fat-free frozen yogurt episode.
