How the hell are you supposed to have a career in tech in 2026?

My career goal for 2026 is to get out of this industry altogether. I no longer think that our industry is a force for the better anymore and need to move somewhere where I feel I'm making a positive contribution.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional dev, but I have dabbled as a hobby dev for years. My day job is wayyyy different.

I receive at least 10 python job ads a day from indeed and linkedin. Are any of them legit? I have no reason to apply, so I am curious if they are bullshit or not. Any insight for this poorly constructed question?

All I can say is that there are a whole lot of scam job offers out there these days, and there's a higher concentration of them on sites like indeed and linkedin, but not all job ads on those sites are scammy. Job seekers have to be on alert.

You're not supposed to. Get a different job.
