I think we tend to forget, that their legals will be telling them they simply don't HAVE to do this. Not, what they should think, or do, but providing the cash focussed getout: you have no obligation here.
That passivity brings them advantages. Not having to act, means choosing to "wait and see" is a low bar justifiable decision inside their role and obligations. Not what you and I might think, what they feel obligated to do.
Remember that when Apple did voluntarily explore CSAM scanning logic, the community pushed back hard. So they have recent experience to drive wanting not to act. It hurt last time.
Their legals are, outright, telling them not to do this. Apple has an App Store monopoly, the moment Grok or X gets booted off then it's lawsuit time for them. Apple could at any point forfeit their monopoly by supporting third-party app distributors. But this is what they chose, and Apple has to balance the abuses with the judgement calls as a result.
> So they have recent experience to drive wanting not to act. It hurt last time.
What does that have to do with anything? Apple doesn't care how much things hurt their users. Any company that would suggest client-side-scanning is entirely willing to hurt their users, you just said it yourself: "most of them do ultimately involve the threat aspect of state actors"
I wasn't discussing hurt to users.
But what about doing their duty to the nation?

The left ("authoritarian" or not) is currently better at getting outraged (bottom, "delicatus"/"pasivo"?), and the right is better at trolling (top-- "activo"(?))
(This was the unambiguous Roman ideology I was maybe hinting at ..so you know Scott Locklin is indeed "non authoritarian" just like he claims
https://scottlocklin.wordpress.com/
I basically picked the book because of this, and because wakipedia said it was the world’s most offensively misogynistic series of novels (all four novels were in this book). I was disappointed in this;
Note that here he applies the incorrect strategy --> )
Long before we get to selfdeprogramming, mutual reprogramming looks like the left trolling the right, and the right learning how to get outraged.
Thus.. tips from homophilic role-switching ex-Nazis (leather lovin' fans of Rome long before the SV-neocon detente)?

Q. Why won't the new East Room ballroom be a success?
A. Because Trump is good at holding balls, but he always chokes when he goes to them.
Trump and Putin are meeting at Mar-a-Lago for the Strategic Hypersonic-Arms Restraint Treaty. Kayleigh McEnany wants to get on Trump's good side to start her interview, so she compliments his outfit: "Hey Donald, nice top". He starts to reply, "Thanks! I was gi..." but is interrupted by Putin, who gruffly says "У меня есть имя, знаете ли!"
other examples of the tone you're going for (at anyone's expense) would be helpful. Normally I get almost all my good lines from Rabinovich, but even a wider late soviet net doesn't turn up much beyond "...and it's in Melania's handwriting"
(I agree that oestrous propaganda is unlikely to play on HN, but I must admit upon hearing the rumour that there is good money to be had in drawing commissions for Rule 34 content that the only deep-pocket collectors I could think of were Three Letter Agencies)
Re: other vid-- that one seems to sit on the thin line between satire and documentary
Only tune I know from there is Nina Hagen's "Farbfilm" (recently I learned that while others needed to build balloons to escape from the east, apparently she just wrote a strongly worded letter ... and EEPH's people were so eager to get rid of her that it worked)
Is it still possible to troll with the ehemaligen union? (1 May has been googlebombed to be "law day" in the ole country, and one fine cold war year two wags ran the hammer and sickle up an official flagpole... folks were not amused)

Hope you didn't miss the NK flag either!
Hmm the essence of (US) rightwing suffering seems to stem from being made to sit in a room (=to think beforehand)??
For me, that explains the (high-)SV-feudalist detente (both of which selectively empower personalities who prefer to think afterwards/with whatever they have on hand?)

Aha, not just a flag; they have DPRK-Pop in their playlist. "Korea Does What It Is Determined To Do" ... Kim needs to diss Trump for biting his flow.
(one of my big fears is the trying everything else before thinking will lead to walking right into an Ems dispatch; as long as MAGA really had been isolationist that was much less of a worry)
Nuanced anecdote?
A MAGA hat wearer laughs three times:
1) when the joke is first repeated 2) when it has been explained 3) when they finally get it
An R member of congress laughs twice:
1) when the joke is first repeated 2) when it has been explained, and everyone else is laughing
An ICE officer only laughs once:
1) when he detains the one who first repeats it
A Besserwesser doesn't laugh at all:
- they say they've heard this one before, and anyway their guy did it better — at least he had a plan
Sure, nuanced anecdote would be great.
That must be a deep joke, I have to meditate hard to find the surprise (maybe it's in "Besserwisser(s) vs the Real WorldTM"? or the joke is that it's an anecdote, really?)
I didn't laugh but I had a stupid grin the whole time
Meant to link the OG but D playing the "most famous DDR anthem" that you have never heard of seemed hilarious at the time https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIkdbiXTl-PA5dcmuv5EYNCZX...
(I now recall that the tune itself is actually Breton, oops)
Ps: I've a bad case of brain fog today... human in the smbc is propagandist??? If Linebarger was always sincere in his leaflets this guy is Jesus H Christ. Didnt really get the ironsky clip either. Much later then.. :(

"D'Artagnan"'s appreciation of mammaries is a good shoutout to their Goldmundian namesakes; Aramis, who was doing a thesis (Narcissistic?) to become a cleric (on Augustine VIII.7/17?), was known for his cavalier chivalry.
mammaries...
light the corners of my mind...My "theory" is that it was the DDR (Oktoberklub) cover that spread it to them.

Having recently seen a "Barbie Girl as sung by Sabaton" interpretation, I wonder if we can get anyone to do "Milady", Barbie Girl as interpreted by D'Argtagnan?
AG's done Peremen as well; my favourite on this is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpIzFRIX60E&t=910 , of which Silenzium would disapprove, but Cordwainer approve.
As to Zapad, I have to admit Igla has near-zapadern levels of violence/sex ratio... up until now I'd thought White Sun of the Desert was about as far as one ever got in union film.
Do you have any idea which came first, HOI or Polandball?

I confess to bouncing off of hop..
Trolled by it being too overtly exoteric?? Haha
(What would PH feel if I claim that anime music would never have the reach of rap. A blessing? A silver in the Cloud?)
Prep hop.. weird in its hypernormalcy. Or hypernormal in its weirdness. Or wrong question..
