Show HN: PublishRelay – Sync WordPress posts to Medium with canonical links

Hi HN, I built this because I kept manually copying blog posts from WordPress into Medium and kept worrying about duplicate content and broken formatting.

PublishRelay.com connects to a WordPress site and a Medium account, then syncs new posts automatically using Medium’s official API. It sets the canonical URL back to the original WordPress post and preserves basic formatting like headings, images, lists, and code blocks.

You can try it by:

Connecting a WordPress site (plugin)

Authorizing a Medium account

Creating a test post in WordPress and watching it sync

There is a free tier to try the app, no credit card needed.

Happy to answer: • How the canonical handling works in practice • API limits and failure modes • What breaks with complex WordPress themes • Whether this actually helps or hurts SEO in real-world use

This is a small side project that grew out of our own content workflow.
