Every week this looks more like a stealth takeover by Google, with Mayer as an advance agent grooming Yahoo for assimilation. Or just some healthy spread of Google cukture across the industry.
I'd wager on "beginning of the end". Shake up large projects until only the smaller, "quick wins" remain, then sell off the assets. It's easier that way from what I hear.
