Interestingly, it's not a totally new drug. It's an extended-release version of the existing hair-loss drug minoxidil.

Also interesting that it's at a much higher dose than would be typical for the fast release oral version of minoxidil. 8.5mg twice daily vs 5mg once daily.

It's the same drug used in Rogaine, but oral form. Grows hair everywhere to some degree.
