The huge drawback for me is that the web version doesn't even go fullscreen. Seems kind of like pointless design decision.
On my iPod touch http://YouTube.com redirects to http://m.YouTube.com goes full screen.
It also features a link to a YouTube app 'free in the App Store" :-)
