That's two days ago - it drew no comments then. This newer "news" item has different/more commentary because it's in a different paper. Does that make it different enough?
I'm finding the number of repeated items interested - it seems that every day I find a few. Is it because people find a new shiny thing and post it without checking, or is it because it's too hard to work out if it's been done before.
Can we stop it from happening? Does it matter? Does anyone care? My guess is: Maybe, no and no.
This sounds like a rant, or just whining, but it's not really. I'm genuinely curious about the dynamics of this group. The discussions, when they happen, are interesting, fascinating, enlightening. But so often something passes without comment, sometimes to reappear, sometimes not.
Most curious.
