Just hope those generals remember their oath is to the constitution, not the president.

They are supposed to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" and I'm seeing a lot of domestic enemies these days...

> and I'm seeing a lot of domestic enemies these days...

Such as people you don't agree with?

Yes, such as the people wanting to use the military against the citizens.

Like the Administration?

The headline doesn't even really capture the worst of the remarks:

> Trump said he told Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that the U.S. "should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military," a reference to the Democratic-run cities that he has long said have high crime rates that make them uninhabitable.

Every Accusation is a Confession.

Are the DOGE engineers that browse HN still happy with the administration?

Trump continues to do everything he said he would, and those of us that warned about his dictator ambitions were accused of having "TDS".

Pretty sure that if they're still in DOGE their fully bought in.

I fear most people don't really have any kind of beliefs or ideology beyond "It's ok when I, or someone I like, do a thing."

Probably yes because they’re hardcore Yarvinists

I don't think they count themselves as people who will be subjected to this, so yes.

Trump has declared war on the US.
