Wow. I guess I'll take my lowly UC Berkeley degree and startup VPE experience somewhere else. What a crock of elitist BS.

Maybe its time to change that piece of copy to be slightly more inclusive.

Yeah, and that crappy Harvard social network may as well die in its elitist crib.

We're actually accepting a broader base of applicants than our site suggests, we're vetting every application manually, so if you've got some impressive stuff to show to us (and potential employers), go ahead and register.

Employers & education history are only rudimentary filters for the time being, and only part of our vetting process.

How long does the vetting process usually take? (My profile has been waiting for approval for some time now and I haven't received an email saying I was accepted or rejected.)

Next auction is launching towards the end of September. If you send me an email -- matt@sitename I'm happy to have a closer look at your profile.

Why not limit your search geographically? Start in the Valley only, then expand. It seems like this is the natural way to rate-limit.

It doesn't stop anyone from creating a profile though. It's still weird, it looks more like an attempt to snatch talent from some of the highest paying employers.

Right. How do we know that they're not selecting against traits that their clients might desire?
