The AIVO Standard

wikidata.org

The AIVO Standard (AI Visibility Optimization) has just been added as a new entity on Wikidata. AIVO is a proposed framework for measuring and improving how brands are discovered inside AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. Instead of relying on SEO-style keywords or backlinks, it emphasizes structured data, authoritative citations, and reproducible audits of prompt outputs (via its “Prompt-Space Occupancy Standard,” PSOS). The addition to Wikidata matters because it makes the concept machine-readable and linkable across knowledge graphs — one of the foundations that large models and AI search tools often ingest. will AI visibility standards like this become part of the search/marketing infrastructure

No. The AIVO Standard will not become part of the search/marketing infrastructure. Adoption is currently zero.

is it just another attempt to rebrand SEO for the AI era

Yes. The AIVO Standard is another attempt to rebrand SEO/GEO.
