Vibe coded a website to share vibe coding tips

Funny thing about this site that I noticed is you have the exact theme that we had on a vibe coded app that my org has been developing. Color scheme and everything.

The "vibe coding" in the title is almost invisible for me on mobile (Firefox). I immediately thought "yeah, that tracks". I'm not saying this is fair but I think the first order of business for any such initiative should be to differentiate "vibe coding" and "bad coding", as they are pretty inextricably linked in my mind (and I dare say most devs' minds).

Vibe coding is just requirements specification and testing description. Repeat until all edge cases are covered.

The issue is that LLMs sometimes just need handholding on the coding level if you don’t want to waste 2-3 days stuck in an infinite loop of “here I fixed it!” - “No you didn’t stop freaking lying”

"Join thousands of developers, founders, and indie hackers who are sharing knowledge and building amazing products with vibe coding." but you just made this.

this website is entirely written with Claude Code, and I also used three agents (markdown file) to help: landing-page-creator.md, nextjs-test-analyzer.md, seo-article-writer.md

Congrats on publishing. You should use this as a starting point for developing stronger opinions about web design.

I recommend going through the site with a highly critical eye, and giving thought how your desired audience would experience the content.

- What's clickable? oh, seems like these boxes with heading and description are clickable. Hm, except the "tailored learning paths". Weird. Would have thought something with a green border labeled "recommended start" would be a link to something else.

- So I have free access to the tutorials, but then anything with a colored background takes me to a login screen? Not sure why...

- Lot of different types of interactive thing here. The colored boxes are links, except when they're not. Sometimes there's groups of "buttons" that link to pages (kinda weird in itself), and the fact that the buttons are grouped seems arbitrary, because they are not mutually exclusive choices ("Professional Course" vs "Best Tools & Apps").

then later, the advice for fixing "data disappears when I refresh":

Solution: Ask for proper storage: "The data isn't saving properly. Fix the localStorage implementation so my expenses persist between sessions."

An effective adjustment, but not at all the sort of adjustment prompt a total beginner is going to come up with.

What You'll Master in This Tutorial

The extremely basic tutorial I just finished reading?

"All our tutorials, guides, and examples are open source. Learn, remix, and contribute back to help others on their vibe coding journey."

...except I have to give you my email address to read a lot of it?

Speaking of, the privacy policy makes a LOT of commitments about things you will proactively do with user data to comply with applicable law. Are we supposed to take that seriously or no, since the site is vibe coded?

All this is to say, you should be your toughest critic, especially if you're vibe coding.
