Nice advice. How long did the process take? How many hours a day did you spend doing all this? You say, pace yourself, send a few hours, does that mean it took you months to find and apply to 450 jobs? Did you read company reviews on Glassdoor?
Yeah, I was also curious how many months those 450 applications were submitted over the course of.
approx 2 months: many days i'd bang out ~50 job applications, then wait a few days for new roles to show up, and repeat.
50 job applications in a few hours?
yep! most positions usually takes only a few minutes to apply to, and some are quicker than others.
Thats crazy to me. It takes am an hour to apply to one job, including finding some kind of a match, and some jobs are disproportionally harder due to weird questions.
Same here. The only 'few minutes' ones are the 'easy apply' ones on linkedin, etc. The others range from 20 minutes to an hour.
I mean, I did exactly this for past few years unemployed and I'm up to applications in the thousands. No luck and I just burnt myself out in the process. Maybe my YoE aren't enough for this market and I need to go elsewhere at this point.
