Boog: A cute cat themed AI chat agent with web search

Hi Hacker News!

This is my very first post here (so I hope I’m not making a bad impression ). I’d like to introduce *Boog*, a lightweight, cat-persona AI agent inspired by ChatGPT. It runs on free-tier *Groq* for inference and taps into *Tavily* for live web search capabilities, all hosted on *Heroku*.

Highlights: - Adorable cat-themed conversational interface - *Groq* for AI inference—no paid compute needed - *Tavily* integration—fetches real-time web data - Deploys with minimal setup to Heroku - Forkable, hackable, and open-source

Check it out here: • GitHub: [https://github.com/robitec97/Boog]

I built this in my spare time to explore agentic AI tooling and have some fun along the way. Boog is currently in early alpha—feature patches welcome!

Would love feedback, ideas, or even your favorite cat-joke prompts!
