Launch: Free and Focused Password Generator at GeneratePassword12

Hi HN,

I’ve recently launched GeneratePassword12.org, a simple, privacy-focused password generation tool designed to make strong password creation effortless for everyone — developers, security-conscious users, and everyday web users alike.

The core idea is minimalism and speed — no logins, no tracking, no cookies, no ads.

You can instantly generate secure passwords at various lengths:

12 characters (default and balanced)

10 characters (great for compatibility)

15 characters (stronger for sensitive use)

16 characters (excellent entropy)

Each page is optimized to generate one type of password with just a single click. The output includes a combination of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols — customizable by toggling options.

Key features:

Zero tracking or analytics

No backend: everything runs client-side

Fully open for use without login or registration

Fast, responsive UI across devices

I built this for people like me who are tired of bloated or overly complex password tools. It's especially handy when setting up new dev environments or managing accounts without relying on external managers.

Would love your feedback or suggestions. Thanks!

good old dev urandom

cat /dev/random | tr -dc '0-9' | fold -w 6 | head -n 10

cat /dev/random | tr -dc 'abcdef0-9' | fold -w 20 | head -n 10

using character classes:
