This is highly symbolic, this won't change much.

This improves Macron's image from the left.

Maybe it improves diplomatic relationships with some countries, but I wonder how.

All I want to say I am genuinely scared to express any opinion on this topic online or in any group outside of my closest friends as it seems you can get into a whole world of trouble for just stating certain obvious facts. Even right now I feel the need to tip toe around it, rather than just saying it outright.

I don't understand how we got to this point as a society.

Religion is extremely divisive.

Say it outright. Don’t let 5 bullies run the show. There’s way more good people than a*holes.

As someone with Israeli parents, it's because of decades of propaganda. People in Gaza are viewed as evil and subhuman. It is sickening to me.

Even within Israel it's extremely divisive. A member of the Knesset was suspended for calling the Gaza extermination a genocide.[1] Haaretz is comparing Gaza to the Warsaw Ghetto.[2]

Much of this is to keep Netanyahu in power. He needs a war to hold together his coalition.[3]

The situation there is rather complicated with both sides committing atrocities so if you say anything much some people will think you are in favour of some atrocity or other.

no, it is not complicated at all

There's a genocide going on, largely to keep Netanyahu in power. We should not be afraid to say it out loud.

People should know about the Masada complex for some context:
