Show HN: my weekend project, whatsnerdy.com

Very cool site. Looks like you might have a Unicode problem: "Show HN: My Github résumé"

Is there something that you can do about the floating social bar?

On iOS, it hovers over some of the content :-(

Other than that, though... YAY!

Added to bookmarks! It may become my favourite website for procrastination. :)

What I don't like is two-column layout: it makes title boxes have uneven height. Even both columns have different weights. It would be nice to see numbered list for sites with numbered postings - like HN(of course, if it's not by design, for example, if your project uses custom ranking and selection systems for publications).

I really like the sources and amount of content you picked out. Good choice of a domain as well.

But like sangupta and amirf I think you should improve the UI a bit; maybe have a go with twitter's bootstrap?

One thing I really would like is that you skip the two columns and narrowed it down do one column and worked a bit on the navigation so that it's on one line or grouped in some shape or form.

Hey nice compilation mate , only thing that it misses is the discussion forum .Would love to see that :)

Well that's why i keep coming to Hacker News or reddit and keeps you engaged .

Guys at Hacker News discussion forums are one the best people to talk to regarding technical topics .

Nice work.

It would be nice to have sortable sources and comments, like popurls does. (Although popurls doesnt have hn comments, which is painful)

Also, have you considered eliminating links that have been duplicated over different sources.

Cool site! My suggestion for more features/changes:

1. Social share bar for each link. 2. Finding common links/stories in all those tech sites. 3. Probably a tab view? 4. Search feature!

This reminds me of jimmyr.com which is how I came across reddit/digg/hackernews in the first place. Not sure how I came across jimmyr.com in the first place though :\

Congrats - this is just so awesome! How about adding an RSS feed and tweaking the UI a bit to make it more usable - for the specky ones like me :)

I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while now. Any thoughts on open sourcing it, putting it up on github?

Great job! All you need now is a better UI for mobiles and I'm sold :)

What web technology did you choose for this?

Love the idea! :)

Would be even cooler if I could add/remove sites and reorder them ...

Fix the encoding, add a favicon and change the font from Times and I'd probably use it :)

A simple, yet extremely useful site. Love it; I can see myself regularly using this.

Haha, that's awesome. I hope you keep it up because it's my new home page!

If you keep it ads free I'll use it. Please remove the left sidebar

Awesome website! Thanks for sharing :-)
