I don't see how that is selling magic mushroom. After all, one of twelve patients did feel worse off and they excluded 105 candidates but the motors improvement are hard to ignore...

The mood improvement was predictable but what surprised me is the motor improvement. But it's not a silver bullet, one patient reported feeling more anxious and felt a worsening of his motor symptoms even if no such decline was measured. Another reported wanting medically assisted suicide when I would not be able to care for himself but like the researchers I don't see that as an adverse effect since it wasn't immediate suicidal ideation but a long term plan for when the inevitable happens.
