IBM Announces Power11 With 55% Better Core Performance Than Power9

Curious if anyone’s using the 8–16 socket IBM E1080 systems for large-scale data processing outside of SAP HANA. POWER10 offers ~400 GB/s memory bandwidth per CPU, so a full system pushes ~6 TB/s. Feels like HANA doesn’t really scale that far — what does?

It looks like it will support the Spyre AI accelerator for the Z17. Also IBm guarantees "less than 1-minute guaranteed ransomware threat detection".

I'm curious if it returns to being Blob-Free like POWER9.
