Notably absent: any detail of what the party's platform is other than "we're not the other guys."

>reduce debt, responsible spending only

>modernize military with ai/robotics

>pro tech, accelerate to win in ai

>less regulation across board but especially in energy

>free speech

>pro natalist

>centrist policies everywhere else

Obviously that last catch all bullet is where things get complicated.

I don't have an X account, so all I can see is the tweet asking if those are the policy positions. Is there more context I'm missing?

OP was requesting details of the America party, at the time of writing that was the most detailed list confirmed by Elon Musk in that thread.

Herr is a Time article that provides a summary indicating Musk's confirmation.

As the new party is in its infancy the details beyond that are limited, so it's the best roundup of what "for the 80%" in the middle would imply.

Looks like this was attempted prior as recent as 2022

One caveat is that the intent of this party is not (initially?) to run a presidential candidate, but rather back individual Senators and Representatives.

>Backing a candidate for president is not out of the question, but the focus for the next 12 months is on the House and the Senate

The same "free speech" he uses for Twitter/X I presume. Which means "free speech for me but not for you".

I remember when H. Ross Perot joined the Reform Party, ran against Clinton, and stole votes from the Republicans. In modern times, no third-party candidate has been elected President.

you can’t start at the top with no base.

Same for grok, but don't tell a16z's limiteds.

A party lead by a billionaire doing Nazi saluts? Hard pass! Elon has lost all political credibility, but doesn‘t seem to have noticed, yet.
