Ask HN: How much are you spending monthly to use AI?

AI billing is highly variable. What are you paying and what steps do you take to optimize costs? And has the cost proven to be worth it?

A few hundred. I'm not exactly sure. Soon, I will probably only be using the $200 tier of Claude Code. I had just canceled my Gemini Ultra when they finally released a terminal client, though, so I'm on the fence.

is 200 USD Claude code really-really good one?

I think so. Even though I use it quite heavily, I keep running out of capacity on the $100 plan. And every day, I run out of Opus capacity on the $100 plan.

0 dollar, i only use free services. Im still a student hahahahahah

I'm the same, but I use any free Agentic service daily for work.

It's useful for something that I need to do fast. We can buy knowledge nowdays.
