Hollywood studios target AI image generator in copyright lawsuit

The lawsuit isn’t a big surprise considering how litigious they are when it comes to anything close to their intellectual property, more so suprised that it was only filed now and not months ago.

> The lawsuit describes San Francisco-based Midjourney as a "bottomless pit of plagiarism" that enables users to generate what the studios call "AI slop"

> According to the filing, users can simply type prompts like "Darth Vader at the beach" and receive "high quality, downloadable" images

I'm getting mixed messages here.

this is why we need p2p inference. this centralized garbage will always suffer from this.

Imagine Models are small enough to run on consumer hardware so inference doesn't matter. We do need p2p for training and distribution though

What are "Imagine Models"?
