Relevant background for the fork is https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/issues/1797

Thanks for reference. This pretty much confirms what is written between lines on linked site.

Paranoia & insanity. The behavior in comments on that linked issue is even more wild than this absurd README.

All over a bunch of chaotic wild rewriting code, with no stated gains, just for a different style, that broke basic functionality.

And then almost immediately getting mean and nasty about it! And then getting further into madness, waving at someone whose out in civil service to the world like Peter Hutterer and declaring them some BigTech enemy is completely unhinged decoupled behavior.

The conspiratorial wing of modern society is so hard to live with.

This comment is the pot calling the kettle black.

You use "conspiratorial" as though Enrico is the one being conspiratorial. That's obviously not the case as far as what's publicly known. With whom is he conspiring? And against whom?

""" Right after first journalists began covering the planned fork Xlibre, on June 6th 2025, Redhat employees started a purge on the Xlibre founder's gitlab account on freedesktop.org: deleted the git repo, tickets, merge requests, etc, and so fired the shot that the whole world heared.(sic) """
