Gen Z Loves China, and Nobody Knows Why [video]

Probably for many of the same reasons my generation loved Japan in the 80s and 90s.

One of the biggest failings of congress has been the treatment that Chinese made stuff is junk. Especially the idea that the stuff they make is unnecessary (e.g. Trumps rant about needing 30 dolls). They are quite frankly detached from reality.

Broadly speaking our leadership thinks Chinese still make junk clothes, batteries, and useless trinkets (especially republicans believe this).

Meanwhile, when you work in actual factories here, you realize very quickly we are insanely tied to Chinese made goods to make our goods.

Then you realize that nearly every good and affordable product is designed AND made in China.

Then throw in drones, webcams, monitor arms, all the chips, transistors, capacitors, batteries... It's absurd to hold a world view that China is dependent on the US and not the other way around.

Because there’s a literal army of China boosters all over social media. China also controls the social media app most popular with that demographic. “Nobody knows why” my ass.
