Maybe a modification of the posted script to do both...

The hard part is to detect if the javascript is actually required to access the content.

Because many pages have javascript but it is optional (as it should be...)

12ft.io seemed to stop being useful almost immediately after gaining any amount of popularity

I heard of it on HN that one time and it has never once done anything useful for me
