As there are so many clients and the repo doesn't expand on it: what are the strengths of this one?

Huge fan, I've been using this for years at this point.

Same here. It's awesome.

Big fan, it's my daily driver for mobile HN access. I just wish for two things: - show up vote count on comments - allow me to jump to the next root level comment (and also back up to the top) when I'm deep in some multi nested comment thread. Right now I'm playing curling on my screen to get where I need to go, but it's not exactly efficient.

Cool :) F-Droid perhaps?

The author said "I hope to get around to posting it on F-Droid soon, it doesn't seem like too much work" back in 2023 <https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36051011> but my 3rd-hand experience with F-Droid is that it is a lot of work

There is an issue tracking that outcome if you wanted to follow it https://github.com/SimonHalvdansson/Harmonic-HN/issues/185

I really appreciate dedicated import-export functionality. Looks like it's only for bookmarks, but I can imagine this could be for settings as well.

Writing this comment from Harmonic, it's great

Can't find it on F-Droid.

It's on the play store and there's APK files in the GitHub releases

It's in the IzzyOnDroid repo: https://apt.izzysoft.de/packages/com.simon.harmonichackernew...

Looking great

I appreciate the optional feature opening up article in archive.org. Normally, I don't bother viewing articles that are paywalled.

Great App but i think the Titel should mention "Harmonic", the name of the Modern Android HN Client

You're right, my bad. @dang, possible to add it?

@ mentions don't work on HN, an email to the mods is the best way to contact: hn@ycombinator.com

I have now emailed them. I was under the impression that dang had set up an automated system which notified him of his mentions.

Added above!

I think he has

They technically do not work, but I have used it successfully before, some people are attentive enough. :D

@pjmlp! :P (He may not notice this one because the whole thread is hidden.)

I did assume the same thing that the other commenter has said, that dang may have set up something that would notify him if someone said "@dang".
