I created a platform that compiles tech conferences in one place - not just the when and where, but also the best discount codes and free ticket giveaways! Feedback and suggestions are welcome as I continue to refine it.

>try to find events around may 30

>click "See more events" 2 times

>still only see events til may 23

>click "See more events" once again

>page starts lagging, nothing happens

>try to click "See more events" again

>more events suddenly load

>get clickjacked onto some random guys LinkedIn

this could be a simple html table for the entire year 2025 and be both more performant and more comfortable to use

Why make it simple, when you can make it complicated?

Relying on others to submit events seems like it could be difficult to maintain.

Why not use apis to search engines to find events, then use an LLM to evaluate which need to be added, and automatically maintain a database that identifies events in various languages, then automatically uses contact information from those sites to work with those managing the events?

Thanks. The data is currently populated by scraping a bunch of sites and APIs. I added the manual 'add form' just in case my scraper missed some events.

Red Hat Summit is going on right now. I don’t see it listed. May be another source to add to the list.

Great domain, and great idea!

I've been looking for something like this for a while, I usually take a look at the lu.ma featured page but not everything is in there, hope one day your tool hast all of them.

Congrats on the launch!

Thanks so much :-)

hi OP! i run the AI Engineer conference which is coming up soon and was pleasantly surprised to see this here :)

HOWEVER this link: https://www.tech.tickets/event/ai-engineering-world-fair-a9a...

links to the WRONG conference!!!! it is at https://ai.engineer/ and tickets are at https://ti.to/software-3/ai-engineer-worlds-fair-2025

discounts do exist for loyal latent.space listeners and ainews subscribers but i wont make them that easy :)

(for those who are between jobs and just getting into AI Eng, here's a good one for you: HNEXPO - we put all talks up on youtube on a delay: https://www.youtube.com/@aidotengineer but really the value is the live interactions/hallwaytrack )

Thanks for organizing and running this conference! Do you know how long will it take for talks to be uploaded on youtube?

I was checking for last year's (2024) videos and it seems they were added in the last 8 to 3 months, so about a 4 to 9 month delay. Wondering if it will be similar delay for 2025 conference?

Thanks for that! Subscribed!

So sorry for getting the wrong link. I blame my AI Agent! I've just updated this.

Good luck with the conference. If you do have any spare tickets, I'd love to run a quick giveaway. ;-)

email swyx at ai.engineer lets work something out

lmk size of your mailing list etc

Looks great. Only suggestion I have would be to be able to search by multiple properties- city and technology are the two that come to mind.

Good shout, thanks.

It would be good to be able to filter by date as well as location. I was on vacation in Denmark one year and stumbled across a tech conference. I listed to a couple talked, but had I known in advance I may have looked at what was most interesting to me and planned around it a little.

Could not find the tech conference "Joy of coding" (I am one of the organizers) but then again we do not offer discounts as we try to keep the tickets as low as possible. We do offer a small set of diversity and student tickets for a lower price.

Nice idea. But I can’t navigate the site on my phone. For example: I try to press on any ”want ticket” link (I think it is a link since it is coloured and underlined) but my browser just selects it as regular text. Same with both Firefox and Safari.

Okay, I am on a desktop now and why are you using a span with an event listener as a link when an <a href> would do?

    <span class="text-primary underline hover:text-primary-dark transition-colors font-medium text-xs cursor-pointer">Want tickets?</span>

Good question! I went this route as it prevents the default navigation behaviour for the event row (which has click handling on the parent element to navigate to an event page and this span overrides that behavior locally).

But it is not accessible, you can’t navigate with keyboard, can’t open in a new tab/window, can’t copy the link. All just because you do not like the navigation?

I’m seeing a list of conferences, and for each a popup is saying:

> Sorry, we don't currently have any offers for this event. Register your interest to be notified when something becomes available.

The current ticket giveaways are all listed here... https://www.tech.tickets/?view=offers.

For the events that get a lot of interest, I approach the organisers for discount codes and to see if they will donate tickets.

I would expect it to get my location and be able to sort by the distance. And also to sort by time. So I can see the closest and the nearest.

Great idea! Why didn't I think of this?!? I'll get this added. :-D

This is now implemented! Thanks again for the suggestion.

Nice idea. Balkans Crypto shows up under the North America tab. It's in Tirana, Albania.

Well spotted! This was an error with the scraper. I've fixed this now. :-)

Cool design and logo. Wondering which font you used in for the logo

Looks great!

Thanks :-)

Best way to get free tickets is to ask the sponsoring vendors/companies directly I've found - can play either the 'I'm a current customer' card, or the 'I'm considering your solution seriously' card.

Have gotten many free tickets, dinners, sports tix, etc that way over the years!

How exactly do you contact them and ask? Can you give an example

Sales people are always happy to talk to you. :)

Sure, but why would a sales person give me a free ticket to a conference? Am I going to come by their booth and buy something?

For major conferences, they probably have a fairly limited number of free tickets.

You might think of them the next time you need their product

pretty cool work imo - always find the bits about scoring deals way more interesting than just listings. you think people care more about meeting others or getting access to new info at these events?
