Ask HN: How do you use Excel?

Most of the planning work such as forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, etc. happens in excel in most organisations.

We are developing a product which aims to give a compelling alternative to planners of any organisation.

My question to HN community is

1) How do you use excel for planning? 2) What features will make your life easier and are not in excel right now?
